Through coaching, mentorship, Rites of Passage, sports, outdoor adventures and family experiences, we create opportunities for your son to discover himself, build confidence and grow in responsibility.
We also offer parent–son workshops, family coaching and caregiver learning experiences because supporting boys means supporting the people who raise them.
For Schools and Learning Institutions
Every school wants learners who are confident, responsible, respectful and able to work well with others.
We partner with learning institutions to bring personal development to life through student leadership programmes, team building, Rites of Passage, outdoor learning and community service.
We also create meaningful team-building and professional development experiences for teachers and staff. Together, we can nurture learners who are growing not only academically, but personally and socially.
Our Pathways
A boy discovering his strengths at nine needs different experiences from a teenager exploring his identity or a young man making decisions about his future. Our four developmental pathways meet boys and young men where they are.
Discoverers | Ages 8–12
Who I Am
Through play, friendships and guided experiences, boys explore their strengths, build confidence and practise responsibility.
Pathfinders | Ages 13–17
Who I Am Becoming
Teenagers explore identity, emotions, relationships, values, courage and the choices shaping their future.
Trailblazers | Ages 18–21
Finding My Direction
Young men develop clarity, confidence and responsibility as they navigate independence and new opportunities.
Changemakers | Ages 22–25
Creating My Future
Young men explore purpose, leadership, meaningful relationships and the contribution they want to make.
Greatness in Action
Imagine your son discovering that his creativity could help another child learn. That his love for football could bring people together. Or that his time, kindness and ideas could make someone’s day better.
Through Greatness in Action, boys and young men participate in meaningful community contribution experiences, including suitable projects with Lifesong Kenya and other causes. They discover that making a difference doesn’t require having a lot.
Sometimes, greatness begins with using what you already have in your hands.

Born for Greatness was founded by Hawi James Ouma, a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and Co-Active Leader whose personal journey and experience working with boys and families shape our approach.
We believe in seeing strengths before struggles, listening before advising and creating opportunities for boys to learn through experience.
Above all, we believe that families, schools and trusted mentors can achieve more when they work together.
